PUNCAK - The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Sunday, 28 July 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Sinak Post led by Major Firman, invited residents from Gigobak Village, Sinak District, Puncak Regency, to participate in the distribution of free clothes.
The Commander of 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, has emphasized to his Soldiers that helping people in need in the assigned areas is something that needs to be done when carrying out the main task of securing the area. Based on this emphasis, the Soldiers showed their attention and care for the people of the Gigobak Village.
As a form of concern, the Soldiers took the initiative to distribute free clothes to the residents. Earlier, the 323 Task Forces had taken the initiative to collect clothes worth wearing at its home base, to be taken to Papua to be distributed to those in need. As a result, on Sunday afternoon (28/7), at the Sinak Post, the Soldiers distributed the clothes to the residents.
In addition, the Soldiers took the opportunity to interact and communicate with the people to see the updated situations in the Gigobak Village. The people welcomed the Soldiers' attention and care. One of them, Mr. Alex Sondegau, said, "Praise God, thank you Commander 323 for the free clothes worth wearing. God bless TNI."
"The initiative of the 323 Task Forces to hold an activity to distribute clothes worth wearing to the people of Gigobak Village is TNI’s effort to provide basic necessities services, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
